Octant Praia Verde is a stylish boutique hotel set in the peaceful eastern Algarve, near the Spanish border in southern Portugal. Surrounded by pine forests and just a short walk from the golden sands of Praia Verde, it offers a relaxed, nature-focused escape with modern rooms, sea views, and a strong emphasis on local food and sustainability. Its location near Castro Marim makes it a great base for exploring quiet beaches, nature reserves, and traditional Portuguese villages away from the busier tourist hubs.
Octant Praia Verde is actually very close to several top golf courses, making it a great base for a golf trip. Most of the main courses in the eastern Algarve are within about a 10–15 minute drive, including Quinta da Ria Golf Course and Quinta de Cima Golf Course (around 9 km away), as well as Quinta do Vale Golf Course (about 10–12 km). Slightly further but still very accessible is Monte Rei Golf & Country Club at around a 15-minute drive.

This resort features two distinct courses (Quinta da Ria and Quinta de Cima) situated within the Ria Formosa Natural Park. Quinta da Ria is particularly famous for its spectacular sea views.
The Layout (Ria): Located right on the edge of the cliffs, there are no houses on this course—just pure nature, carob trees, and olive groves. It is slightly more forgiving and “prettier” than its sister course, Cima.
